On March 12th, 2024, Bubble is set to discontinue support for older versions of many plugins. If you haven't updated your plugins yet, you're likely seeing reminders on your “Apps” page to do so.

This change is happening because AWS, Bubble's main service provider, will no longer support a function used by about 10% of older plugins. Bubble alerted plugin developers to this eight months ago, asking them to update their plugins to be compatible with the new plugin API.

Fortunately, most plugins are now updated. You just need to upgrade to the latest versions of any affected plugins in your apps. If you find a plugin without an available update, consider contacting the developer for information or let us know and we will look for an alternative for you.

Updating is straightforward: go to the “plugins” section in your app and look for any marked with “needs upgrade” (different from ‘upgrade available’). Be aware that some updates might significantly alter the plugin, potentially affecting how things work on your site. To avoid issues, upgrade your plugins one at a time and check your app's functionality to ensure everything still runs smoothly.

Remember, these updates won’t be applied until you deploy your app. This gives you ample time to address any problems that arise during the update process.
